Lunch with friends

Carole, Barb, Mary Posted by Picasa

Today I had lunch with 2 lovely ladies. We all have been widowed from the devastating disease of Brain Cancer. We met on an online support group and Mary lives in the Minneapolis area. Mary and I have met before, but this was our first face-to-face meeting with Carole, from Fort Lauderdale, Fl. We had a nice lunch and told our stories about our dear husbands and our families. We sat in the restaurant for 3 1/2 hours....I'm sure the waitress was wondering if we would ever leave, but we had much to talk about. It isn't often that we can really talk about our experience, and to express it to someone who has been there is sometimes helpful.
We didn't solve any problems today, or find any cure, but we all found a new friend or two and felt able to say things we probably could not say to most people.

It was a good afternoon. Thanks, Mary and Carole!
